Alice Whitehead has over 25 years of experience as an educational assistant in the public school system, as well as a 10-year history with the Nature Connection movement in the lineage of Jon Young and Tom Brown Jr. Working with children outdoors is her absolute favourite thing to do!

Alice loves spending time in her “secret spot”; getting to know the plants, animals and birds that live there. She was born in Victoria on the lands of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations and delights in timeless wandering on these lands by bike and on foot. Alice is a member of the Thriving Roots Elders Council and is thrilled to be stepping into a mentoring role after spending the last year in the Tend the Fire apprenticeship program.
